Energy Sector

Renewable Energies

Future forecasts are that energy demands will increase by 100%, by 2050.The principle challenges will be to maintain energy security and create a low carbon world. For this reason, renewable energy plays a vital and strategic role in meeting our current and future energy needs. Over the next five years, approximately two thirds of net additions to global energy capacity will be from renewable sources.

Transmission and Distribution

The use of new energy sources may have to be increased and the building of new power plants accelerated to meet growing demands for electric power. The know-how and expertise acquired by the companies we represent in this sector, allows them to offer innovative solutions tailored to the specific needs of major electrical companies and consumers.

Cables

Cables, made up of one or several wires positioned side by side or grouped together, are used to transport energy. A cable assembly is formed by one or more electrical cables and corresponding connectors; not necessarily suitable to connect two devices, but may be a partial product (for example, to be soldered onto a PCB with a connector fitted to house it). Cable assemblies, in the form of a cable tree or cable harness, are used to connect several terminals. Electrical cables are used to connect two or more devices, for the transmission of electrical signals or power, from one device to another.

Energy Storage

In recent years the scepticism towards energy storage technologies is rapidly disappearing as storage transitions to the implementation phase. Energy storage allows for a more efficient reuse of energy. Promoting energy storage means guaranteeing the flexibility of renewable resource-centred electricity grids. We represent companies that specialise in these systems and products.

Solar Energy

Solar systems, when installed, lead to energy efficiency and reduced costs. The use of solar energy caters for the needs of both domestic consumers and businesses and various industries, leading to savings while allowing us to attain zero-pollution targets and a Healthy Planet for All. The customers we represent are manufacturers of solar panels, inverters and energy storage systems, as well as manufacturers of panel cleaning products and machines.

Transformers

Small-size distribution transformers may vary considerably in terms of the winding conductors shape used. For example, besides the copper and aluminium conductors, of circular or rectangular cross-section in high voltage windings, low voltage windings may sometimes use one or several conductor plates. As the size of the transformer increases, the tendency is to use rectangular plates. However, in the case of furnace transformers, copper bars may be used to manufacture low voltage windings.
